Greeting! I’m Liz Cortez, and I am honored to share this journey with you.
My path has been one of deep inner calling—a journey through healing, awakening, and remembrance. Early experiences of trauma, life transitions, and reproductive health challenges led me to seek transformation not for teaching, but for the reclamation of my own vitality. Yoga became my first doorway. What began as a personal practice evolved into teaching, and soon I discovered the joy of holding sacred space for others—guiding movement, breath, and presence in ways that honor both body and soul.
The call to sound found me next. After my first experience with a sound bath, I was captivated by the vibrational medicine of crystal singing bowls and gongs. Learning to play and weaving these sounds into yoga and group experiences revealed a new language of healing—one that moves through energy, body, and consciousness simultaneously.
Energy work naturally flowed from this path. Through Reiki and Shamanic practices, I began to feel the subtle currents of life force and the profound wisdom the body and spirit carry. This work opened me to deeper layers of balance, alignment, and inner knowing.
My journey has been further enriched through holistic health coaching, where I learned to integrate body, mind, and spirit to support others in connecting with their own healing power.
I was also called to work with sacred cacao, receiving training to hold ceremonies with deep respect for the plant medicine and its ancestral traditions. Through cacao, we open the heart, deepen presence, and invite connection and clarity in a ceremonial setting.
Aromatherapy became another tool on this path, allowing me to work with essential oils and plant essences to support emotional balance, relaxation, and energetic alignment.
A profound turning point came with the study of Peruvian Shamanism. Guided by synchronicities and inner calling, I trained at the School of Shamanic Arts in Glendora, California, where I received my foundational rites as a Pampamesayoq Shaman. Over time, my practice and understanding expanded—I was initiated as an Alto Mesayoq Shaman, and I received the Rites of the Nustas, the seven sacred goddesses of Peru, whose wisdom carries balance, feminine power, and deep connection to cosmic and earthly rhythms.
Today, I hold space in my Rancho Mirage studio—a sanctuary where movement, sound, energy, plant medicine, and aromatherapy converge. Here, we gather to restore, awaken, and realign. This work is about reclaiming your inner power, harmonizing your energy, and connecting to the sacred within and around you.
